Penny has been sent to the pet cremation service just now so everyone is bawling.
However, the lady who runs the service is starting another service to rescue elderly pets to give them their best end of life and we volunteered.
@Qbae absolutely! It is so very kind of you to do that. My mom is getting to be very elderly and having serious health concerns. She has a very sweet and also elderly little terrier that will join our menagerie of German Shepherds if and when the time comes.
@Siriusfarm we can’t bare seeing them spend their last days in a shelter. I can’t believe that when their owners pass their family members would just throw them away like that? Wouldn’t be better to care for them as a way to honor their loved ones? I’d hope someone would take in my babies if something happened to me. 😭
