My husband is in a union and has never received sick or vacation pay.
You get paid for the days you are at work.
I am not union and have had jobs with 8 weeks vacation pay. 3 weeks sick pay. A year.
@coolserenity sounds like his board needs to barging better.
@Silabus his union is one of the bigger unions around here. I wonder if the board has vacation pay.

@coolserenity I wonder if his is like mine where our vacation time gets paid into a separate savings account one can dip into when they want a vacation rather than the company paying out. I'd have to see the wage matrix.
