I have a life with my family outside of social media, and I have shit to do with that family.
I don't announce everything I do because frankly it's boring to everyone else and also none of your business.
If I leave a thread I'm engaged in it's because I have to do other things, and the Internet is the least important thing to me.

@tyghebright @Shelter I think people's attention spans have gotten shorter, and they've been trained to expect other people's attention faster and faster.
I first started noticing the impact when fax machines came out.

Oh man.
It's bizarre the way some people expect someone they're talking to online to immediately jump in response to anything they say.
It's such weird thinking: disconnected from reality but also wildly entitled.
