#ff14 #ffxiv It's a sad day to realize that one job (Black Mage) is so ungodly unwieldy and unfun (keep drinking the copium of it's the most complex job!) That vast swaths of the playerbase has abandoned it, for Summoner.
That's what happened. The simpler, vastly more mobile and far more flashy Summoners has decimated the portion of the playerbase that might have dabbled in Black Mage, even though it's the weaker job in practice and in potential.
Black Mage isn't complex, it's, just, bad.
Just do the standard rotation, the very simple, very doable standard rotation. It's 99% of your output. The flowchart of nonsense is both undoable, but also in attempt always a dps loss because you're going to screw it up time and again.
And if you're going to come here, push your glasses up and "Actually" me, telling me how you do it all the time. Congrats, I'm speaking to one the maybe 50 people in the whole world with enough time to waste getting good at it.
