Justice is not about revenge. It's not about retaliation, an eye for an eye. It's not about satisfying feelings of anger or hatred toward any person.
Justice is restorative and reparative; it's about stitching up the break in the social fabric, healing the wound in the body politic made by those people who have no care for its integrity. People need to know that, when possible, wrongs are righted, and responsibility is taken; that an effort has been made to restore balance.
