@Qbae There's a distinction between making your kids suffer and teaching them to be self-reliant and strong, that I think gets lost in this. I want my son to be as tough and resourceful as I can help him be but I'm not going to make him miserable to get there. I'm going to lead by example and put in the hard work by his side, like my dad did with me.

@Qbae It was about people being mad that kids have it too easy these days, right? The folks I've met who think that way do so because they think the kids will end up "soft" as a result. I'm just saying those two things are not really connected. Didn't mean any harm by it.
