The point of a police force is to protect the public safety.
If, again and again, police forces are threats to the very public safety they are supposed to protect, we might start asking whether there is something wrong with the whole model of policing that we are using, and whether a different kind of force, with different rules, different personnel, a different culture, and an entirely different attitude toward the communities they serve might be necessary.
Because what we have isn't working.

Oh, and by the way, Artemis I is set to launch Wednesday morning at 1:04 a.m.--and I'll be there to get the best photos and video that I can. I've been working on this for five and a half years and now I finally get to see her fly!

Hi there! Chances are if you stumbled across this post, it's because you recognize me from Twitter and/or other SM.
I'm a full-time software and systems engineer working at NASA (not _for NASA_—I'm not Agency—but as a contractor) on Project Artemis. It should go without saying, but I never ever have spoken, or will speak, on behalf of, or for, either my company, contract, or NASA.

Hi folks—iOS user here. Is it true that there are no notifications for this app? I can’t find any settings for it on my phone. It seems like the CoSo designers thought of another way to make the social media experience less toxic by purposely not providing them. Thanks in advance.

Women’s rights are human rights. This seems quite obvious, and shouldn’t need to be said here in 2022, but here we are.
I have a mother, a sister, and a niece, to say nothing of friends, colleagues, and fellow citizens. I can think of no better reasons than to stand on the right side of justice. There will be no Republic of Gilead if enough of us stand up for them.
Something to think about: Not only did a lot of us get away from Twitter due to a potential takeover by the elongated muskrat, but we are also tired of the endless bad behavior and treatment we see and experience. Therefore, please consider not cross-posting tweets here. Thank you.
