November 13th marks the beginning of Transgender Awareness Week, a week dedicated to raising visibility for transgender people and addressing the issues that members of the community face. It leads up to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on November 20th, which honors the memory of those who lost their lives to anti-transgender violence.
