High-profile Republicans head for the exits amid House GOP dysfunction
“When you’re divided in your own conference, the joy of the job is harder,” “When you have folks on your own team with their knives out, it makes it less enjoyable.”
Rep. Carlos Gimenez of Florida, said this is not how he or many of his colleagues imagined life in the majority, saying, “I thought that some of our members would be smarter.”

@nursefrombirth I love our (Maryland) old Republican governor Hogan because he was bipartisan in a strong blue state. He is running now for Senate and unfortunately because of how politics are these days I don’t feel like I can vote anything but democrat. If it comes down to personal rights being voted on, I just don’t trust that they won’t break from the party to do what is right.
@nursefrombirth I’ve always liked him. I just don’t trust the GOP, look at some of the outspoken hardheaded politicians that are just following behind Trump. People I never thought would bend. I don’t agree with Cruz but I always thought of him as his own man. Yet even he gave in and endorsed Trump.
