My wife has kicked our contractor into high gear getting #ThisOldHoos into shape. Today she had him chipping old plaster off the gable end of the block tower in my office, giving me a c 1500 (maybe earlier) accent wall. It's going to be really striking.
There's a calming and reassuring permanence to old stone buildings.
