I loved Bookman's Alley in Evanston, IL before it changed hands awhile back. One of those bgger on the inside used book stores,smelling like proper old books, comfy chairs all over the place, and almost certainly hiding entries into distant magic lands.
@misterfive Sounds wonderful. Is it still amazing? Or did new management ruin it?
Ruined is probably too a strong word. Last I was there it was a nice little used bookstore (with more modern used books) and gift shop. But it definitely isn't magical any more.
