I've talked about evangelical pain shamers & their view that God won't give you a burden more than you can carry. 100's of people in chronic pain check themselves out every year via suicide, because they can no longer get pain meds. Free NYT article.

@SSNBubblehead Yep. The same people say a 12-year-old rape/incest victim must carry the child to term and terminal cancer patients have to ride it out to the last second because it's "god's will". No sale here.
@SSNBubblehead Maybe god wouldn't, but when you take someone's pain meds away, you're adding to the burden they already had. That's not god, that's people.
@SSNBubblehead following tht logic, god wouldn't have given us the power to end our suffering if they didn't think we might need it. 🤔
