I don't go to theaters anymore. I'm making an exception for Oppenheimer, but it will be in the middle of the week, earliest possible showing. I'll be situationally aware before, during & after. Damn shame what it's come to.
The Plains Theater in Roswell, NM closed many years ago. My memories reside mostly in the balcony seats. But I digress.
The theater has been repurposed as the UFO Museum in Roswell.

I've been there! Roswell isn't too far away from me, and they had a great restaurant there where I was able to get the best burger I've had in years (it was from a place called Farley's, which, I''m told, we also have here in Las Cruces). The museum was pretty cool, too, but to really enjoy it, one had to be willing to suspend one's disbelief if necessary. I have to admit, though, the Alien Golf Ball 3-pack was cute.
