While I'm not an expert on aerodynamics there are scientists who are trying to raise awareness on ventilation and filtration. All this focus on plexiglass partition are interfering with that message. Air with possible virus aerosols is not stopped by a piece of plastic. It will and can just go around it based on the movement created by ventilation and objects in the room. What if the movement of the air in that room does this?...

By going around a plexiglass divider the virus particle travel distance is increased lessening the chance to transmission.

@mike_calamari Perhaps more so for droplets but aerosols are smaller. Scientist Jose-Juis Jimenez said, think of if someone lit up a cigarette in a room. While the smell is stronger near the person doing it you can count on smelling the smoke farther away as well. This is how small the virus is and it will float where the wind blows and farther than 12 ft.
