I've had this vision of how much I'd written of part 3 but I knew I lacked the major choreography to close it. Leaving that alone, I worked on rewrites of secs 1 & 2 making great progress. Inspired with what I need, I finally revisited sec 3 only to find I hadn't written nearly as much as I'd remembered and what was there is garbage. Absolute garbage. Between that and reality, life has been sucked out of me. Inspiration still burns though. Must get back to it... #writing #writingcommunity
@RileyNorman I encourage you to sleep on it before you make changes. I often find that on my first review, I hate my work. I think it's absolute garbage. Once I put the project away for a few hours, or a night, I find it's not as dire as I thought.
I mean, it may be. Overhauls are always part of creation. But if you're like me, you may be too hard on yourself.
@Myana Thank you for your recommendation. Unfortunately, I've slept on it for so long I didn't remember what I'd done and let me tell you, it's awful. It's so segmented that I break it back into these little stories that are supposed to come together via the MCs. It lacks a cohesiveness that the story builds towards. As we say in IT, sometimes you just need to nuke and pave.
