I don't have any opinion on whether AI art is Art or Not Art, whether it's original or derivative, whether it's part of a War On Artists, a fun game for non-artists, or the Future of Art.
What I do know is that I can't look at the stuff anymore. It's becoming nightmare fuel.
This isn't because of the style or content or anything in it. It's because the form has just enough inhuman errors in it to show that it is, at base, the product of something totally irrational.

Human artists care about the art they're producing. Each work of art is the representation of a little bit of world-building, where the artist has tried to create consistency and credibility.
Even surrealist art, that tries to flout those rules of consistency, does so with an intelligent knowledge of what they are; surrealists still care about their product.
AI doesn't care. AI art represents a kind of madness, mashing forms together with no concept of what any of it means.
