There is no spell to break. The GOP was always this racist, transphobic, homophobic, xenophobic, and greedy. They just hid it more. Willie Horton happend in the late 80's. Newt Gingritch happened in the 90's. Bush in the 2000's. The signs were all there.
Indeed they were. America was too busy chasing wealth. If nothing else, TFG has shown a laser beam on the rotten underside of the GQP.
No one can look away. Unless they are complicit.

@Redcarpet it was never hidden from those of us around since Nixon and unfortunate enough to grow having the wrong religion, gender, body shape, hair color, interests, and intellect. It was an intentional long term strategy to establish think tanks that permeated academia
