I am pessimistic about white women come November. They have either failed to show up or lined up for the oppressors too many times in the last 15 years. They could collectively make a positive difference but too many of them are intoxicated with white supremacy.

Prove me wrong at the polls in 2022 I’ll gladly admit I was wrong.

@Redcarpet This is a very pertinent point. White women need to step up for intersectional equality rather than protecting their own privilege. Will they? ☹️

@Redcarpet there are certainly individual counterexamples of white women on the right side of history, but overall I'm afraid (literally) that you're probably right.

@Redcarpet I will be there, as will my four white daughters. And many of their friends. and my friends. And my followers. Don't be discouraged or pessimistic just yet. Read the feeds that we are posting. AND let's not forget, women are women. Colors do not figure into this. White or anyone else. My husband will vote blue. My three sons are voting blue. We lost too much when we lost the vote for Hillary. Voting is serious business. We all see the repercussions of not voting.

@Redcarpet Apathy has also been a consistent problem. In 2012 only 58% of the voting age population went to the polls.
In 2016 it was 59%
In 2020 it was 67%
71% of white voters cast a ballot
58% of non-white voters cast a ballot
50% of young voters cast a ballot

Let’s motivate everyone we possibly can!
