@RationalLeft But unfortunately - perhaps not surprisingly, and as you point out, favorability increased amongst Republicans. It will be interesting to see if that nets out for Musk, or if he loses out big time because of falling ad revenues.

@dnarich If only Rs are enthusiastic, the site is in trouble. Right wingers don't like sites where they only talk to themselves... the whole point is angering liberals. And advertisers won't want to be tied to a hard right site.

@RationalLeft Good point. I hope that is true and that the conservatives will grow weary of only being able to speak with other conservatives!

@dnarich I suspect they will *if* that really is all that ends up left on Twitter. Which is increasingly possible as viable alternatives gain steam.

Of course another possibility is that the banks that loaned Musk billions will balk and demand he either sell or accept someone they choose to run the site - which could happen.
