Isn't it fun how we're all wired differently when it comes to movies and TV?
I've always had a soft spot for Star Trek. Maybe it's the nostalgia of it being on TV before hitting the big screen, or just the themes that resonate more with me. ππ½
Few years back, I tried doing a Star Wars marathon to see what all the fuss was about. Truth be told, I could barely make it past the first (or was it the second?) movie. π₯π¬
@Rabbisandra Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks have swiftly become two of my favorite Treks behind TNG. So glad to see that style of Trek content come back! π
@karashta I haven't watched Lower Decks but I will now. Thank you
@Rabbisandra Honestly... It is some of my favorite Trek content. It pokes fun at a lot of the tropes while still being an example of what Star Trek should be imo. Hope you enjoy it! β€οΈ
@Rabbisandra So happy you're on this site. I used to follow you on the Angry Bird site but I left when Elon (The Emperor Has No Clothes) bought it. FYI: too many retirement accounts/401k's/pensions have millions in Twitter stock. They won't allow Elon to tank it because they wouldn't receive their astronomical bonuses if portfolios lost money.
@Rabbisandra My advice with Star Wars is find a de-specialised version of the original trilogy, and start with those. There are some good fan edits of the prequels out there which make them far better (Adiwan has been doing a phenomenal job, and Magnoliafanβs edit of the first prequel is very good).then watch Rogue 1.
Maybe I just need to give it another shot. Or maybe, I'm just a Trekkie at heart. Speaking of which, I'm absolutely loving the new Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It's a must-watch for any Star Trek fan out there! π
