I think i'm going to get a couple of tattoos. Anything in particular to look for when i visit places? Most have portfolios of their work, yes? Any pigment formulation/type issues to consider?

@northernbassist most have portfolios. Make sure the place is clean. Don't settle. Don't get flash art. Think hard about what you want. Yes, they hurt but only for a brief time. Keep tattoos protected from the sun, that's what makes them fade.
