@Patti1120 I can think of three ranges of possibilities: he screwed up his finances so badly that his continued appearances are all that stands between him and losing an asset he can't imagine losing, he just needs to be seen as much as possible, or both. Weirdly, I kind of hope it's needing to be seen. At 93, indulging your disorder is fine if nobody but you gets hurt.
