Morning CoSo….so I woke up this morning thinking it’ll be a GREAT idea to self clean the stove…I’m living here over 7yrs and never ever used the feature once. So why not try it this morning I said to myself. I’m not sure what’s going to happen as I don’t even know what it does. But I do have a question, after it’s done doing it’s magic, do I go in and wipe down everything or does everything somehow magically disappear and I do nothing? I mean I didn’t spray anything in the oven beforehand
@matuzalem thank you!
@Patti1120 you need to wipe it out afterwards.
it simply heats the oven to 800 degrees and turns all the yuck to ash basically.
@MrGoat thank you! You are so knowledgeable! I feel like you help me so much and I thank you for helping me 😎✌️🙏🏻
@Patti1120 You're welcome.
@Patti1120 I think you have to remove the oven racks…
@ACG2 oh no I didn’t omg I hope this doesn’t ruin them.
Nah, it’ll clean them too somewhat. But it’ll be easier to wipe out the ashes if they’re not in the way. The only thing to be careful of is the heating element. It doesn’t like to make contact with metal or be moved around too roughly. They are a replaceable part, but after ruining one, I treat mine gingerly so I don’t have to spend that $$ again.
@ATXJane @Patti1120 Good to know. Thx!
