Samhain tips for the home witches and #CoSoPagans
Spend some time talking to your ancestors at your altar, this is the perfect time to make peace, and to fill them in on the latest on what's happening in the living world.
Don't be afraid to protect yourself if negative spirits intrude, you can protect yourself and should liberally! Most negative spirits have unfinished business or are malcontent with how they passed and need guidance to find their way to the next world beyond. Careful handling!
#CoSoPagans This is the time to wrap up business for the year, harvest time is generally reserved for clearing the home of negativity and blessings for good fortune for the incoming greener seasons following winter, but also for keeping the home calm during the winter months. Poppets can be used for blessing your home for just that with the incoming Yule season, remember to craft one in preparation and write out your blessing for the year to tuck into the poppet for burning on Yuletide night.
#CoSoPagans Another thing to note on this, is stocking up for the winter as well. If you grow your own herbs and ingredients, this is the time to gather and prepare them for drying over the winter season, make sure your tools are sharp and blessed and handle your plants with great care. They too provide but need to heal for growing again in the next growing season.
@Gardenthymeherbs I would recommend using a sheet, or some kind of cover for them to keep the frost from killing them off. They've lived this way for centuries but we can lessen the pain for them by helping protect them from the worst of the colder weather when we can.
