Here's my 1-month of following my migration from .

Thread follows, but tl;dr - while I miss some aspects of Twitter, CoSo is a completely different experience and I've found a whole new side to social media that I'm really enjoying. I just need to put the effort in so that I get more out!

I like the Firehose. It's nice to jump on now and again for a random snippet of interaction; the general tone is far more conversational than confrontational, which is such a nice change of pace.

It's easy to avoid doomscrolling, mainly due to the general lack of doom! Filters are a necessity, helping simultaneously keep focus and avoid the esoteric and the yawn-inducing. Fortunately this are easy to use. is a particular highlight that deserves some time .

I mainly use mobile, but when I am on desktop the ability to pin tagged subjects is really useful, especially during an event. I should make more effort to sit down with it every so often instead of using the mobile app.

coso has not been able to replace Twitter for news & original content , I see this is as being purely down to the smaller scale and lack of organisations & notable individuals on the platform. How am I supposed to troll my local MP now? 😅

I was very politically active (towards MP's & GTTO) on Twitter ... like 10 hours day every day.

I am one of the 3.8m taxpayers EXCLUDED, abandoned by our Gov.

I've taken to the sanctury that Counter Social provides, and am behaving myself till I get the lie of the land.

But dont think its the sort of place the digital protests occur, more discussion based & hashtags are subject based rather than specific aspect based.
