Watching Miss America 2023 (I have an acquaintance in the Top 10 🎉). There's a ridiculous level of variety of shapes, sizes, shades ... a lot of Brown skin up there. A lot of Asian women as well (including Miss Texas, Averie Bishop). Short, tall, medium ... couple of teachers and doctors as well. Really interesting mix.

As I watch from afar the country (USA) descend once again into ugly racism, at least I've lived long enough to see this wonderful thing happen … #HumanDiversity #Beauty
@OldCountryDoctor There's no traditional beauty here except in the women of previous generations. All the women on the stage look like just regular people and they just look like diverse women. Some are even wearing pant suits. ❤️ I think 4 of the final 10 are Black. 2 are Asian.
