Actually you are completely correct. And exemplified by ex-Presidents Nixon, Reagan, and afterwards. It just gets worse as time progresses and recently on the brink of disaster … #USA #Politics

Gingrich rose to power in the 1980s during the Clinton administration.
He forced Jim Wright out as Speaker of the House, and only left because of his own financial scandal.
But it doesn't change the fact he was the guiding light of the party for years after he left office.

Oh yes, absolutely agree. The underlying characteristics of the current GOP can actually be traced to early white Americans having slaves, looking down on black people as inferior. Bigotry has expanded to other prejudices and has festered in recent generations. #USA #Politics
