The planet is screwed
America’s oil industry released its wish list for the incoming Trump administration on Tuesday, a five-point plan that would eliminate many of the Biden administration’s most far-reaching efforts to reduce climate pollution and limit the warming that is driving ever more destructive and deadly extreme weather.
@Peacebird i'm 75 and hopefully won't see it really bad (both parents lived to their 90s) - I have no family so there's that blessing
@NorthernInvader Yesterday, I heard an interview with the guy who will become the next head of the Environmental Protection Agency. He started with telling us about overthrowing Environmental Protection Agency regulations and encouraging more drilling for oil.
I think the planet will survive but in a new form. I doubt that Homo sapiens will survive. Regretfully, most people don't realize that the biggest threat is to us, the humans that caused this disaster.
@ShaneArtBooks I've long been convinced we won't survive the next century. People having children now should realize the horror they are condemning those children and their children to.
It's not that there aren't solutions to the climate problem it's just human nature.

Some of us are trying to fix things, and people believing they can't be fixed is one of the biggest obstacles.
