@NorthernInvader I would not have thought that you could pull off closed-loop geo that deep... I'd love to know how they tie up their deep-Earth manifold.

@wyrmeboi Just a wild stab in the dark but maybe they are using some kind sealant throughout the horizontal borehole that would withstand high pressure and prevent leakage, and only piping the verticals. Perhaps that would not require any kind of manifold deep down - it's a completely closed system. Did you look at eavor.com/technology/ and eavor.com/wp-content/plugins/h?

@NorthernInvader You sent me down the borehole, so to speak. I get it now. They use magnetic tracking to connect boreholes at depth, and then chemically turn the bores into impermeable tubes. They don't use tubing, like surface based residential geo-exchange systems. The bore-holes become the tubes. Pretty nifty!
