Creating green H2 from renewable energy at home.

"Enapter says its electrolyser uses about 2.4 litres of water to generate enough hydrogen for a couple's home for several days."

@NorthernInvader

my understanding is that hydrogen energy could use most of the infrastructure of the fossil fuel industry, and that the fossil fuel industry is however pushing the "blue hydrogen" as opposed to the "green hydrogen."

my understanding is that there will be a need for water to supply this new energy industry, with desalination plants becoming a reality at the same time.

hoping they will not be allowed to come near aquifers though or our freshwater sources.

@peeppeepcircus the thing with green H2 is that the only product from burning it is fresh water. This device only needs a could of cups of H2O to power your house for days. Use of water supplies will not be a problem. No one should be accessing aquifers unless they are being renewed at the same rate.

@NorthernInvader

Yes - no one should be accessing aquifers unless they are being renewed at the same rate - and yet, that renewal hasn't been happening in the agricultural juggernaut of California, which instead has been sinking as a result of overpumping and the . That's the reality I witness already.
