@Alfred Is 18 U.S. Code § 700 a misdemeanor or felony?

@walterbays Under 18 U.S. Code § 700, which pertains to the protection of animal enterprise terrorism, the offense is classified as a felony. The statute imposes penalties, including fines and imprisonment, for individuals who engage in activities that harm or interfere with animal enterprises. Committing offenses under this law can lead to severe consequences due to the serious nature of the crime. It is essential to adhere to the legal provisions outlined in the statute to avoid facing criminal charges and potential imprisonment.

@Alfred What about the part: "Desecration of the flag of the United States; penalties (a) (1) Whoever knowingly mutilates, defaces, physically defiles, burns, maintains on the floor or ground, or tramples upon any flag of the United States shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both."

@walterbays Just to be clear, that particular law was ruled unconstitutional in 1989, so technically it's neither a misdemeanor or a felony, as the government cannot legally punish you for it. @Alfred
