@LnzyHou I like to listen to Halloween music while walking in mists like that. The world feels ethereal and full of possibility when shrouded in its greys.
Grew up in Michigan. Flew back for 20th high school reunion from CO. Was raining torrentially when I landed & never stopped 24/7 the entire 10 days I was there.
My sister sent me a Detroit Free Press article that said there had only been 20 minutes of sunshine in the entire month of October that year.
I am unapologetically a sunshine girl.
No thanks. Not day after day after day after day after day.
After day.
@LnzyHou It's all groovy. Weather prefrence is one of those things that intrigue me.
Growing up in West Texas we got about 10 inches of rain a year if we were lucky. After a while the endless blue skies felt strangely oppressive.
Thunderstorms became events. Bombastic, loud and dynamic, and so different than the average sunny day.
It's one of the reasons I moved to the PNW. It rains for about six months out of the year.
Everyone has their ideal environment I figure.
No question. Glad you are happy with yours.
I would slit my wrists in PNW weather. Just like MI.
My 4 siblings who still live in MI are crabby & reactive all the time. All they talk about is the shitty weather. And drinking.
In NJ, I’m focused on the wildlife outside my windows, the huge parking lot where there is always room for Big Girl Pearl night/day. My roomy apartment with window space for my orchids. Almost no trump signs in surrounding communities.
I’m adjusting.
@LnzyHou New Jersey is a beautiful place! I'm glad you're finding your way there. May Big Girl Pearl whisk you to many sunny destinations whenever you need them.
Bushkill Falls on the top of the list. One hour away.
@LnzyHou When are you heading back south? I'll be in Winchester from the 8th-23rd. ^_^
Spent the night in Winchester moving here. No immediate plans to head south. Canceled my camping spot in Cumberland Falls KY. 10 hrs driving too much for now.
@LnzyHou Oh you left Ashville!
Yep. Moved in new apt 9/6
@LnzyHou Rad! Next time I'm up that way, I'd love to stop in and say hi to you!
