Morning all... Hope your Wednesday passes quietly...
As some might remember... I prefer my caffeine with bubbles and on the form of Diet Coke... So I had to McDonald's on early mornings... Especially with their two sandwiches for $3.33 deal... One for today another for tomorrow...
Along my route I pass this field... With this view... Which I can see from my car... And which will soon be blocked by a couple dozen or more houses...
Also saw two different herons in flight on the way back...

It's sad really how much the area that I've lived in for the past 22 years is changing... How many trees and animals are being displaced..
How views like this are disappearing...
Please try to enjoy your world while you can... The wild gets smaller and smaller year by year...
Bit by bit, so that people don't really notice or care...
I wonder from time too time what would it look like had we never existed... Maybe it would have been better had we not...

Maybe someday, over the coming eons, it will return to what it should have been... With too large a layer of garbage that we've created underneath...
Anyway... Just things I think about from time to time when I'm alone...

@InvaderGzim I've been listening to a history of the Vikings, and they talk of places where villages thrived, only to depopulate and become reclaimed by the forests.
Nature is far more resilient and will outlast us, but you're right; what was will never come again in quite the same way.
I'm glad you're there to witness and cherish this moment of beauty before great change.
Those moments are as precious as they are fleeting. We each remember a time and a world that will never come again.

Thank you... Along those lines.. whenever I see videos about Iceland... I'm in awe of the beauty...
But also remember that at one time, it was supposedly a completely forested place... Now barren and desolate sure to those same Vikings...
And now the number of sheep makes growing trees again difficult as they scrabble for something to eat...
What a world of must have been... Once... Maybe again...
