I just got another 5 star rating on Royal Road, which puts me almost in the top 10,000 on the site.
That might seem like much, but started at 20k, which means in a little over a week and a half I've made it to the middle!
Those ratings help because it tells their algorithm to suggest my work to more readers.
Come on snowball!
@bfgreen It's a lot of work, but going indie and self publishing really worked for me.
I was traditionally published in 2014 by a small print publisher.
It didn't end up working out, and for three years my work didn't get to far.
In 2017 I pressed for my rights back and got them and went indie.
Dawnbreak, my first released work under my own studio, was my first amazon best seller. ^_^
It's not easy, and the money is awful but it works!
@NiveusLepus I am in awe of anyone that can write a book or a novel. I was once offered a book deal, but ended up too overwhelmed (and paralyzed by the legal small print) to actually do it. Maybe self-publishing is the way to go.
