The New Year is a fascinating time, where, as a culture, we seize upon the hope of new days, while we look forward and look back

It is a macrocosm of each new day. I think of the Gatha, "Waking up this morning I smile. 24 brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment, and to look on all beings with eyes of compassion."

Today is a day where we celebrate that every moment we are, is a moment to begin to take a step towards becoming more ourselves
