π Honestly, I can't help myself sometimes.
There was a kid in the park who's having a rough time. 14, sleeping rough because he's got two violent parents at home.
He first followed me a bit because he was curious about my skin, but the chat turned quickly enough to an adult walking him through his options and affirming that what's happening at home is not okay. The whole "it gets better" spiel plus some numbers and suggestions of people he can turn to for help.
But I still got a run in too! πͺπ»
@MLClark Sounds like you're out there putting in the good work!
Meanwhile I curled up with one of my favorite treats for Saturday and have been a lazy beast.
Lazy beast is a great beast to be. π€
Glad you're treating yourself! Yesterday held adventures enough, no?
@MLClark Oh yes, it did. I did not feel well when I woke up so I kind of bunkered in. Saturday is an oatmeal day though and that is always reason for joy ^_^
OOOOOOOOATS! So wholesome! So delicious in so many combinations! π Good for you for listening to your body. Gentleness before all else.
@MLClark Oats are so good. I carry packets when I travel just in case I cannot find food. It's even good straight out of the packet. Not everyone knows that.
I was yelling at the body earlier, because while I feel a bit better from wake up, I didn't gym today because a muscle is sending out damage alarms, and I don't want to get sidelined again.
Listening to the body, but also, come on old girl, perk up!
