I have stated this before, but #Nextdoor will be the platform to end American democracy before Facebook or Xwitter.
The unchecked harm it inflicts at the local level is catastrophic. It's all the vileness you'd find elsewhere, but concentrated and without any truly good way to reign it in.

@NiveusLepus Good. Don't start now. Take big social media but make it apply solely to your actual neighborhood with you actual neighbors, and then add in all the worst impulses people have in social media.
