Made a simple dinner tonight as the partner had a memorial service to attend. Bockwurst, potato (yellow) and cabbage saute with green apple. Salt and pepper to taste. Potatoes pan fried on medium heat in .5 ounces of bacon grease until mostly done. Add the meat, cabbage and apple, cover and cook 10 to15 minutes on low heat until cabbage is done enough for you. Remove lid and cook at medium to medium high heat to drive off excess water. Only 44 calories an ounce. Yum!
