For hourly workers? Sure. Sort of. They have a 40 hour work week (🤣) and when they exceed that (often mandated) they get overtime pay.

Professional, salaried workers? Nope. They get to work unlimited hours for that salary and benefits. The law apparently assumes that this worker can always jump ship for another, less horrible, job for another, less horrible employer.

For example, attorneys. On Sundays they can wear shorts to work.
