It’s kind of rude to stereotype people based on what they do for a job. My dad is a retired union HVAC worker. He voted a straight blue ticket. My uncle is retired IBEW. Also a straight blue ticket. My cousins on the other side are college educated trump voters.

@catzmeow yes. Demographics aren’t always accurate at the individual level. I am an older, retired rural white woman. I am liberal af, as are my friends. We defy the demographic stereotypes as we go door-to-door canvassing and trying in our own small way to save democracy.

That said, if older voters as a whole don’t wake up and stop watching FOX, they won’t like the consequences. There is a cost to putting racism ahead of democracy or even self-interest.
