So, here’s my viewpoint, for what it’s worth.
It is *always* wise to be prepared for the shit to hit the fan. Because even if it doesn’t happen as you think it might, shit happens. And being prepared helps you to get through. When this started, I had TP, face masks, food, etc. Just preps.
That said... One son is an agricultural economist. He told me to step up my usual prepping as things are likely to get worse. So. Get chickens. Can. Stock up. It’s possibly going to get worse.
It’s not whack a doodle, though. I guess it depends on where you live. I live in the country, and pretty much EVERYONE has a stocked pantry and a garden. Many have chickens. Many stock a deep freezer with venison in the fall and that’s most of the family meat for a year.
And this way of life means whatever life throws at us, we’re generally prepared for it.
What seems whack a doodle is shopping EVERY SINGLE DAY, with no pantry. 🙃
@Myrth that’s me!
Well, good. I can at least have a decently stocked pantry and not feel like I’m a doomsday saver.
I appreciate the elaboration! Thanks
@Myrth yea, thank you.
I feel like a whack a doodle for thinking that way
