I wonder if the cosocom alert in Oregon is for measles

@Bemet_Or

Why? Is there an outbreak?

I read something on my friend’s timeline yesterday again. She posted a link about the number of vax deaths vs the number of measle deaths from the cdc

I don’t want to alienate her but i have to think that the number of vax deaths is obviously higher because vaccinations have been working during the years queried. Her opinion is that vaccinations are intentional and part of a scheme to reduce population.

*sighs not even sure i want to go there.

@Museek and yes Oregon is having an outbreak.

and for the first time, a 30+ yr old contracted it..

@Bemet_Or woah...
We really don’t want this happening again. People need to consider public health... seriously.... i GET that no one wants their kids to be injured or gave an allergic reaction but they’ll regret an outbreak much worse. Either way, there is risk and much more so with an outbreak.

@Museek @Bemet_Or

yep. Oregon here. outbreak has everyone worried. i'm vaccinated, went to the pharmacy prepared to pay $87 to get another shot just in case, but they said as long as you've had two MMR shots you're good.

been checking in with my friends as able to encourage they get their kiddos vaccinated if they aren't already.

worried about babies & those who *can't* get vaccinated.

so adults don't need boosters if they've already had the two shots? I just want to verify. @evistre @Museek

@Bemet_Or @Museek

right. that's what they were finding in the CDC documentation.

@evistre @Museek @Bemet_Or Okay. I have zero clue if I had two shots. I know I had one MMR, when they came to the school and gave it to everybody (NYC Public School. 70s) I have zero recollection of a second.

@Kitty62862

If you don’t know your vaccination status, remembering only one shot, then you probably ought to get vaccinated, particularly if you live in an outbreak area.

@Bemet_Or @Museek @evistre

you have your own immunity now.. if you had it...

just like chicken pox...
I wonder when that's going to start coming back with a vengeance...

@Kitty62862 @Museek @evistre @Myrth

@Bemet_Or I never had cpox.. I got one dose of the vax before I went to china but not the second.. @Myrth @evistre @Museek @Kitty62862

Follow

@Kitty62862

Me too. Had chicken pox prior to there being a vaccine. Had it as a young adult. I didn’t get the Rubella vaccine until I was an adult, when I was pregnant.

The advent of more vaccines has been a blessing. An uncle didn’t survive childhood due to a now-preventable childhood disease.

Anti-science loons anger me. It is child abuse, to refuse to vaccinate. But because anti-vaxxers are mostly white and mid/upper class, society coddles them.

@Bemet_Or @evistre @Museek @ucantstop_me

@Myrth I just tried this talk (for the umpteenth time) with my room mate. Her argument: vaccination is not immunization and babies get 79 vaccines at once then they are autistic. Just repeats that over and over. I have to walk away. @ucantstop_me @Museek @evistre @Bemet_Or @Kitty62862

@DachshundSaidSo @Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or @evistre @Museek @ucantstop_me @Myrth Whenever I bump into anti-vax people, I ask why autism is so bad? Most people on the spectrum are completely normal people and live normal lives (like with all disabilities). They have their ups and downs, but so do people with glasses. Some go blind. Some manage it fine.

But I suppose I have a very distinct point of view on it, because many with my diagnose cannot have vaccinations.The shit is real with us.

@DachshundSaidSo @Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or @Museek @ucantstop_me @Myrth @Fiikus_goddess

(disclaimer: I DON'T BELIEVE THAT VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM.

but for those who think they do.

is that really worse than potentially dying?)

@evistre @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Bemet_Or @DachshundSaidSo

I think, at one point, there was an issue with the preservative in the HIB titer.

That’s the shot they get at birth.

Autism may not show until they’re 2.

We’ll never know.

I seriously don’t care.

I still have my daughter.

The major problem is gonna be the resurgence of Shingles in about 40 years, because people sheepishly followed Bullshit memes online based on Junk science, spouted by a Junk scientist, saying vaccines cause Autism. Hell of a thing to die from, because you're afraid your child might have a disability. Get Vaccinated people, unless you're allergic, then get the alternate vaccine.
End of Discussion.

@Heucuva8 @evistre @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Bemet_Or @Kitty62862 What gets me is my roomie is a chiropractor so I assumed she'd know better. But no. She feels she has a duty to warn her clients abt dangers of vaccination. And they listen bc she has the word "doctor" in her title.

Is it possible to stop people from speaking permanently, without Magic or them knowing you've done it?

@Bemet_Or @evistre @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Kitty62862 @DachshundSaidSo

@Fiikus_goddess She is only like this regarding vaccines. It's incongruous and confusing. But she is 100% believing her position. @Heucuva8 @evistre @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Bemet_Or @Kitty62862

@DachshundSaidSo

I wonder about chiropractors, sometimes. There’s one locally who advertises on TV that his treatments can prevent or cure a wide variety of diseases.

Amazing what back cracking can do to a virus...

🦆 🦆

If it sounds like a duck... it might be a quack...

@Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or @Museek @ucantstop_me @evistre @Heucuva8 @Fiikus_goddess

@Myrth @Fiikus_goddess @Heucuva8 @evistre @ucantstop_me @Museek @Bemet_Or @Kitty62862 @DachshundSaidSo

I'm surprised he gets away with advertising that.

Chiros aren't supposed to say those things, even if they believe them. In most states, they can lose their license for it.

@tyghebright Yeah I don't think they can make broad sweeping claims like that. In the 1980's yes but now are more regulated at least in CA.
@Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or @Museek @ucantstop_me @evistre @Heucuva8 @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth

@DachshundSaidSo @Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or @Museek @ucantstop_me @Myrth @Fiikus_goddess @evistre @Heucuva8

I know a chiro who is the same way!! All illnesses can be treated through the right manipulation. It is very alarming to me.

@Bemet_Or @DachshundSaidSo @Kitty62862 @Museek @ucantstop_me @Myrth @Fiikus_goddess @evistre @Heucuva8

Rejection of medical intervention that has evidence of treatment success baffles me...one of my aunts died because she sought alternative treatment for disease.

smh

@Minholkin @Heucuva8 @evistre @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Kitty62862 @DachshundSaidSo @Bemet_Or
I only advocate carefulness with proven treatments among the rare diseases, since they often change how you react to normal things. Like Addison's where the standard treatment kills the patient. But with many of us, it is a lifetime of being a guineapig/self-advocate on what is right treatment. Otherwise, medical treatments are based on statistics, and 9/10 it will work.

@Minholkin Her friend died at 54 bc she used only alternative healing (diet teas supplements) to treat stomach cancer. I watched this person cut things out of her diet until she only ate lettuce. Refused to see a traditional doc. Didn't trust them. Bc of propaganda.
@Heucuva8 @evistre @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or

@Fiikus_goddess @Kitty62862 @Museek @ucantstop_me @Myrth @evistre @Minholkin @Bemet_Or @Heucuva8 Oh her other argument is "If you had eg chicken pox then you are immunized. If you had the c.p. vaccine you are immunized. So why does it matter if I am not vaccinated. You won't get sick."
It makes my head hurt.

@DachshundSaidSo @Heucuva8 @Bemet_Or @Minholkin @evistre @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Kitty62862 Well, ypu can tell her, that you now have friends who will get it from her, even if you won't.

And she should tell her clients in advance, since some of them might be immunodeficient. And could sue her big time if she is willingly spreading dangerous diseases.

@Fiikus_goddess @Kitty62862 @Museek @ucantstop_me @Myrth @evistre @Minholkin @Bemet_Or @Heucuva8 Right? I said "You know you are in a profession where person after person lie face down and breath all over the same table for 8 hrs a day right?"
Thought she was gonna throw something at me.

@DachshundSaidSo @Heucuva8 @Bemet_Or @Minholkin @evistre @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Museek @Kitty62862 I kinda still retain my twatwaffle definition of her.. 😂

She disinfects the table right? Measles is airborne...

Show more

@DachshundSaidSo @Minholkin @Heucuva8 @evistre @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or

Oh... i have known people like this.. one similar situation.. Her husband contracted HIV while overseas, her new agey friend sold her a four thousand dollar “rife” machine that was supposed to heal anything using sound frequencies. His condition improved, she got back with him, contracted it herself then he died and she has been in treatment ever since ... real sad. They want to believe..

@DachshundSaidSo Rife machines are complicated and tricky to operate. They're one of the few new-agey treatments I won't totally write off. Treating HIV with one is insane though.

@Minholkin @Heucuva8 @evistre @Fiikus_goddess @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Kitty62862 @Bemet_Or @Museek

@Expecting_Words

Please be careful

Your body is mostly water. Think about how the sound wave travels through water.

A sound aimed at destroying cells by imploding them can’t differentiate between a healthy cell and an unhealthy cell.

Its an overpriced machine that might possibly be damaging to your health.

Its sad but people prey on sick people desperate for treatments.

@DachshundSaidSo @ucantstop_me @Kitty62862 @Minholkin @Heucuva8 @evistre @Myrth @Fiikus_goddess @Bemet_Or

@Museek I'm not gonna force the many many people who were tagged in this convo to read through this, but your info on Rife machines is incorrect.

They use radio waves, and while idk what the official science-magic explanation for how they work is, voltage gated ion channels in cell walls are a real thing.

Also I've seen people using them for years with no ill effect. They shouldn't replace actual allopathic medicine but that's true of all alternative therapies.

@Expecting_Words

It has been probably 15 years? So my memory could be faulty. We looked into it at the time. My friend bought one for her husband. when we discovered my husband had prostate cancer, we decided to look at it. My husband, a scientist, brought up tech. he worked with (sonic? ) & asked questions no one could answer. My friend’s husband died HIV/cancer shortly after

@DachshundSaidSo @ucantstop_me @Kitty62862 @Minholkin @Heucuva8 @evistre @Myrth @Fiikus_goddess @Bemet_Or

@Expecting_Words

My husband opted for surgery and radiation and has been cancer free since. I actually took care of our friend, getting him into hospice because our other friend (wife) just completely shut down when the cancer ravaged him suddenly. He kept using the rife, eating healthy and surfing. Then in 2 weeks he dropped 40? Pounds and two weeks later he died. Extremely aggressive. He had HIV but cancer took him.

@DachshundSaidSo @Bemet_Or @Kitty62862 @ucantstop_me @Myrth @Fiikus_goddess @evistre @Heucuva8 @Minholkin

Yes...

I looked into actually. My husband was a chemist and worked in high tech cleanroom environments. He used sonic technology to clean particles on a molecular level so the premise sort of made sense.. blowing up cancer and other cells with vibration but what they couldn’t answer was how it wouldn’t damage healthy cells.

@DachshundSaidSo @Minholkin @Heucuva8 @evistre @Myrth @ucantstop_me @Bemet_Or @Fiikus_goddess @Kitty62862 @Museek

High intensity focus ultrasound is a cutting edge procedure that's still being developed, but looks promising for brain tumors as a non-invasive treatment.

A friend of mine's father was part of one of the earliest human trials. I don't know a lot of details.

It's not woo-woo. It's legit science, in the clinical trial stage.

@DachshundSaidSo @Bemet_Or @ucantstop_me @Myrth @evistre @Museek @Kitty62862 @Heucuva8 @Minholkin @tyghebright

From what I understood of it, you are immobilised for the procedure, and it is pinpointed straight to the tumor, and checked on via CTI or MRI?

Yeah, only in hospital settings and done by trained professionals.

@tyghebright

That is different than what i am describing. The rife machine, as I mentioned, looked interesting because in other applications, it could work but there were no clinical trials and it went sideways with the AMA conspiracy, imho. That and the fact that it was sold in a pyramid-type scheme manner. He wasn’t satisfied that it wouldn’t affect healthy cells.

@DachshundSaidSo @Bemet_Or @Kitty62862 @Fiikus_goddess @ucantstop_me @Myrth @evistre @Heucuva8 @Minholkin

I think i got that wrong.. it was Radio Frequency /EMF but the premise was the same. Basically the machjne is a box with 2 cool looking light glass tubes on it that you hold in your hands. Then you dial the alleged frequency of the issue you are having. Theres a book of charts that covers everything from emotional to physical issues. You turn the dial and the glass tubes light up.
