Awoke with the beginnings of a migraine. Medicine and caffeine now on board. Hopefully I caught it in time. I have too much to do to mess with a migraine today.

@Myrth So, I don't know if we talked about this before... but sometimes I don't even *have* to take a triptan if I can catch it fast enough. I got these BC headache powders... it's essentially all the same ingredients as Excedrin (acetaminophin, aspirin, caffeine) in slightly different dosages, except no corn starch as a binder because it's powdered not in pill form. You tear the wax paper, pour it in your mouth then drink some water fast because it tastes awful. But it is the fastest working->

@Myrth stuff I've found, bar none. I often take it with a Coke because duh, caffeine. But I can often head off a total migraine with just that and save a triptan for a day when a migraine gets me before I even wake up.

If I catch it fast/early I can stave off a migraine with aspirin and coffee.

Well, it’s not perfectly beautiful if I throw it all back up because the migraine has progressed too far! But if I manage to catch it early enough it works. It’s a fairly short window, though.

@Myrth Yeah, that part kinda sucks. And you never quite know if you missed your window until you puke. You *can* get some of those anti-emetic melt in your mouth meds to extend it... but you'll still feel a little nauseous anyway. You just won't actually throw up. (I ended up doing that just to save my teeth because I'm in the 20-30 per month range.)

@AvaSpeaksUp I haven’t ever used a melt-in-the-mouth antiemetic. I need to research them ASAP. Any brand name?
