Ack.
I still don’t have DSL.
After FIVE YEARS of AT&T telling me I couldn’t get DSL or “Uverse” I found a reseller that would sell me AT&T DSL-2 (which is, apparently, what “Uverse” is).
So I paid for a month of service and installation and scheduled it for today. I stayed home, and waited.
The installer was from AT&T! And, of course, he ran into problems. The Uverse from another company couldn’t piggy back on AT&T line, so he would need to run a new line. Big hairy deal. 🤬
SO, I asked if I could get the service through AT&T? Yes, and then it could piggy back with no new lines.
So began the multiple phone calls— 7 today!! I began to lose my temper. Finally, having sent the installer on his way, I put on my warrior hat. No more being nice.
I am now to get Uverse installed Friday, and I got a HUGE discount on my bill, so I will get this new service thrown in for better than free.
I HATE UTILITY COMPANIES. 🤬
