It is naive, imo. It really doesn’t address the apparently compromised GOP. McConnell is deeply into Russian Rubles. How many others are?

@Myrth We have a tape of Paul Ryan telling fellow Republicans that he believed Trump was taking money from Russia. If I were Mueller, I would wonder how he had come to believe that, since it was both far-fetched and 100% accurate, and I might ask a judge for an order to subpoena some emails...
@Myrth Ah, actually Kevin McCarthy said it, then Ryan told everyone to keep it secret rather than asking, "Why do you think that?" This was in June 2016, a month before Trump had the nomination.

Ah, but that convo referenced ONLY 2 who are paid by Russia, dRumpf and Rohrabacher. But the more I read, McConnell and possibly much of GOP gets $$ from GOP.
Why won’t McConnell bring the bill to #ProtectMueller to the floor for a vote? He’s scared of Mueller too. The whole damned bunch of them are, Mark my words.

They are scared of Mueller exposing what they have to fear from Putin. They’re plenty scared of what Mueller’s investigation will reveal about their own traitorous behavior. Otherwise, they would protect him.

Oh, I just re-read my toot. That came out wrong. The took money from Russia.
Some of that was laundered through NRA. Some came from others with Russia connections.
