Impeachment. Will 45* be removed via impeachment? Certainly there are high crimes aplenty to support articles of impeachment. The distinct problem I see is the 2/3 majority in the Senate required for conviction and removal from office. Perhaps I am overly pessimistic, but for the last two years I have watched the entire GOP cover for him. And more and more is revealed about their own ties to Russian money. I don’t see 2/3rds of the Senate convicting him. But ...
@Myrth So far, GOP reps have shown with crystal clarity that they are utterly spineless.
I am sort of expecting that they will stay true to that mindset and will flip to get rid of Trump and try to save their own careers, if impeachment proceedings begin.
I cannot see this happening. Susan Collins voted for 45*’s get out of jail free card (Kavanaugh) at the likely prospect of being ousted from office in 2020. She will not vote to oust 45*.
McConnell is likely deeply enmeshed in Russian money laundering if you connect the dots.
I just don’t see enough votes for a conviction. There’s so much Russian money in GOP they won’t want to go there and expose themselves.
That said, I hope I’m wrong and you are right!
That is my theory, pieced together from what has been disclosed so far.
We should really be calling this #GOPRussia, not just #TrumpRussia. And sadly, it probably extends beyond that, to politicians such as Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders. And who knows who else?
The tentacles run deep.
Exactly. I read the breathless essays about how 45*’s goose is almost cooked. Then I look at the Senate. And I want some of whatever they are smoking, because I cannot see it happening on the federal level. Maybe I am growing too cynical.
Our hope lies in New York’s justice system. But they won’t be able to remove him from office.
That is why the 2020 elections will be even more important than 2018. 2018 gave us ONLY a check on his fascism.

Gonna have to wait for the AGNY to do his business in the end, I'm thinkin'...
