@Mikethewander1 to be fair, the same could be said I'm reverse. I've seen plenty of atheist/agnostic/"spiritual" people dismiss various religions due to lack of scientific proof, and act rude about it. I've always said believe what you want as long as you're not rude or hurting anyone. That's better than picking on religion or lack thereof
@MrMalignance Here's the thing, "IF" a religion or denomination of a religion "minds their own back yard", no issues. They start messing with our laws or people that don't believe as they do... it's on like Donkey Kong!
@Mikethewander1 exactly this. Mutual respect is mandatory, not optional. I agree with you completely that everyone needs to mind their business. It's ok to use personal morals to guide decisions and votes for themselves, but not to inflict on others. Goes without saying but this pertains to religious and non religious people
@MrMalignance We are supposedly in a secular government. However, being outnumbered by religidiots voting their religious views is how we lost Roe vs Wade and about to lose SSM! Js
@Mikethewander1 the sad truth of it is that they aren't truly religious. By definition they aren't even Christians. These are cultists who worship themselves and make special efforts to "choose your own adventure" the bible in order to serve themselves. We'll need to find a way to protect government from any religion, cult, or conspiracy theorists in order to keep democracy
@MrMalignance I truly understand as a former devout myself. IF my studies didn't drive me away the hypocrisy would have.
@Mikethewander1 true, true. Hypocrisy runs rampant. May I ask what portion of study changed your mind? I'm always curious as to how people decide to follow or unfollow religion
@Mikethewander1 that's interesting. It was a scholastic and "cultural" difference. I've seen that. Very common issues.
