A malicious for-profit group named 'Fangxiao' has created a massive network of over 42,000 web domains that impersonate well-known brands to redirect users to sites promoting adware apps, dating sites, or 'free' giveaways.

They hooked me when I responded to free Dove products offer over there. No indication it was bogus offer until I became embroiled in endless survey questions that resulted in barrage of sales crap.
I contacted Dove directly who advised me it was not their offer.
