@AskTheDevil @MotherDucker I read an article where the Brennan group wargamed possible outcomes of this administration, and the thing that they kept coming back to was a need for a united, concerted message from those who disagree. Mixed messages and too many cooks in the kitchen (so to speak) let the fascists win.
I'm happy to get behind such a message. but who will unite it? That's where many of us are stuck..we have lots of good thoughts and no unity.
@AskTheDevil @MotherDucker I would also offer that some of us are afraid of that kind of unity: afraid that we will become the ubiquity that we protest, afraid that we too will end up blindly following and be no better than the oppressor. So we avoid organizing to maintain our own autonomy. #politics

I don't think that sounds like a good idea.
Being afraid that you'll become the oppressor is healthy. It helps keep you from doing that if you pay attention.
But fears like that are not helpful if they keep you from doing constructive work.

You go talk to people until you have enough people to organize something bigger. Then that group of all of you talks to more, until you have more people
@AskTheDevil @MotherDucker having been raised in (and left) a fundie Christian cult, I was practically born for this moment. I have research and plans and ideas. I have good thoughts on what should come next. I'm meeting with my ppl irl and sharing ideas as much as I can.
But - let's be real - I can't even get a hashtag about it to be reused here on CoSo, with a sympathetic audience. I'm definitely your ideas person but apparently I am not your organizer, and the organization is what we lack.
