The parakeet flock was silent to pleasantly ambient from 6:30-10:00. Then burn-it-all-down berserk from 10-11. Now? They’re gently chittering and chirping with cherubic innocence again.

They shit all over my attempts at mental health then when I went to stare them down, up close and personal, they literally shit on me. In my hands, on my pants.
